RECEIPT OF SISAL IN BULK
The fiber, coming from the fields, is received in trucks daily and unloaded in SISAEX warehouses. When bulk sisal arrives, it goes through a first selection process, separating the fibers according to the degree of impurity, humidity and length.

HUMIDITY CONTROL
Humidity is controlled throughout the production process by trained people using specific and periodically calibrated devices. Bulk sisal is separated according to humidity, waiting for the correct time for processing. Afterwards, the already processed sisal is checked for humidity again for stacking and control of the best exit date. And when the container is loaded, the moisture is removed again, ensuring only that the bales are sent with the correct percentage.

FIBER BEATING OR BRUSHING PROCESS
When the bulk sisal arrives at the correct time for processing, it is sent to machines called “mixers”. The worker places the fiber in the machine to remove impurities, stretch it and leave the necessary softness.

QUALITY CONTROL
The already processed sisal is subjected to a new, more detailed selection, removing the rest of the impurities in order to classify the fiber correctly before baling.

PRESSING
The fiber, already fully processed and selected, is baled according to the type using labels with the Sisaex brand and ensuring that it has been passed through all the company's quality sectors
6º
WEIGHING AND CHECKING MOISTURE
The bales are weighed and the humidity is checked to control stock in the stacks.
7º
STORAGE
The sisal bales are taken to the company's warehouses where the correct date and humidity for shipping will be monitored.
8º
CONTAINER LOADING FOR EXPORT
The containers are washed in the company itself and monitored by the quality department, checking the humidity and ensuring the correct type of sisal is sent.
FIBER INDUSTRIALIZATION
1º
PREPARATION
The sisal processed and selected by Sisaex is sent to the industry sector called “Preparation”, where the fibers are combed and stretched to form strands according to the type of final product that will be manufactured and monitored by the quality sector.
2º
WIRING
The already prepared fiber is sent to the spinnerets where it will be transformed into yarn. The quality sector takes samples of the various products manufactured daily, ensuring quality within international standards. The yarns can now be packaged for sale or sent for twisting.
3º
TWIST
In this sector, the threads are twisted together into 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or more legs according to the needs of the customer or the ropemaking sector. This product is packaged for shipping or sent to make rope.
4º
ROPE MAKING
The strands made at the twisting stage are used to make sisal ropes, with 3 or 4 strands. SISAEX produces ropes varying from 6mm to 64mm.
5º
PACKAGING
SISAEX’s packages are personalized for each customer, choosing even which label should be used. At SISAEX there’s a commitment with the quality of the products and that commitment extends to the packaging department, that is closely monitored by the employee in charge of shipping.
6º
SHIPPING
The packaged goods are loaded into trucks (domestic market) or containers (international market), ready to be delivered to the customer.
